ISC UAE Open Youth Fest 2023-2024 is organized by Literary Section of India Social & Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi and is open to all Indians residing in the UAE. Competition is to be held in five categories or groups. The groups or categories are,
• Kids (age above 3 years and less than 6 years-Date of birth for the kid must fall between 31 Dec 2017 to 31st Dec 2020)
• Sub-Junior (age above 6 years and less than 9 years-Date of birth for the kid must fall between 31 Dec 2014 to 31st Dec 2017)
• Junior (age above 9 years and less than 12 years-Date of birth for the kid must fall between 31 Dec 2011 to 31st Dec 2014)
• Senior (age above 12 years and less than 15 years-Date of birth for the kid must fall between 31 Dec 2008 to 31st Dec 2011) &
• Super-Senior (age above 15 years and less than 18 years-Date of birth for the participant must fall between 31 Dec 2005 to 31st Dec 2008)
Age will be considered as completed as on 31st December 2023, which will be verified with the date as per Passport. While submitting the entry, passport, visa copy and payment proof must be uploaded. The registration fee must be paid through online payment.
Entries complete in all respects will be considered on a First Come First Serve basis. ISC reserves the right to close the registration earlier than the closing date if the entries exceed the capacity of the venue. So, all are encouraged to register at the earliest.
Any individual event with less than 5 entries, the competition will be cancelled. Same will be applied for the group items with less than 3 teams. If the event is conducted with less number of participants at the option of ISC, then the same will not be considered for ISC Pratibha or ISC Thilak, and participants in such case will be provided with participation certificate.
Each group items, minimum 5 and maximum 10 persons are allowed per group. Exceeding the allotted time (see below event duration) will lead to disqualification. For Light Music Solo, only Non-Film Folk Songs, Geet, Ghazal, Bhajan and Abhanga can be presented.
No background music is allowed for light music competition. Instruments are not allowed for the classical music except Sruthi box, which should be brought by the participants, if required by the participants.
For Fancy Dress participants will not be allowed to change any background settings or properties on the venues. Only handheld props are allowed. Background music or voice is not allowed.
Karaoke or any supporting recorded music file (MP3) should be uploaded while submitting the entry form and also handed over to ISC official with allocated Chest number at the venue desk before competition starts. Media quality to be assured by the participant. Percussion western instruments can be Triple, Drum, Jazz etc.
For Coloring, Drawing and Painting competitions Theme will be announced at the venue. Paper will be provided. All other drawing and coloring materials to be brought by the participant. Participants can use the painting medium as recommended for the group category. a. Crayons, Color Pencils [Kids & Sub-Junior], b. Watercolor Paint or Poster color or Oil Pastel [Junior, Senior & Super-Senior] for painting category. Picture to color will be given for Kids, and for painting category participant should draw and color based on the theme announced at the venue. Only Pencils of any grade and charcoal (Black) can be used for pencil drawing category. Judgment will be done only for the drawings adhering to the above guidelines.
• Dance Forms-Individual Performance
Entry fee is AED 100 for ISC members and AED 125 for Non-ISC members for all forms of Dance forms (Individual Performance) and AED 20/- for every additional event
• Dance Forms-Group Performance
Entry fee is AED 200 for Group performances for ISC members as well as non-members.
• Non-Dance Forms-Individual Performance
Entry fee is AED 50 for ISC members and AED 75 for Non-ISC members for all non-Dance art forms and AED 20/- for every additional event .
Note: Maximum 4 registration under dance forms (Individual and/or group) and maximum 4 registrations under non-dance forms allowed. See fee payment calculation method below.

There is no refund processing, if participant is cancelling or is not present for the event as per scheduled date and time. All Participants have to report at the venue 60 minutes prior to the scheduled event time to collect the Chest number and settle down. In case of late arrival, the participation is subject to the decision of Program committee. It is the responsibility of the participants and accompanying parents to ensure the best of conduct within ISC premise and any misconduct will not be entertained at the venue. ISC Management shall not be responsible for any consequences owing to this.
Participation certificate will be given to all participants and for each competitions winning participants will be given Winners and First and Second Runners Up Certificates.
There is a prize for Best Art & Cultural School based on the overall scores achieved by their students. There is an individual champion among male (ISC Pratibha-2023-2024) and among female (ISC Thilak-2023-2024) participants which will be decided on the basis of total points scored in individual items by the individual participants.
Group performance will not be considered for the above. Non- performing arts (e.g. Painting and Drawing) are not considered for ISC Pratibha and ISC Thilak. Points will be awarded to the Winners as:- First Place 5 points, Second Place 3 points & Third Place 1 point. If there are 2 or more participants who score the same points, Pratibha & Thilak will be decided upon number of first/ second/ third positions secured by individuals.
The event will be conducted in a fair and neutral manner with the help of prominent judges from their respective fields of excellence. Judge’s decision will be final and binding on all participants without any contestation or dispute. ISC managing committee reserves the right to make any changes or modification in the event schedule.
School authorities are requested to encourage their students to take part in this prestigious Youth Festival and bring glory to their school through Best Art & Cultural School 2023-2024, selection (Winner and First Runner up).
All the particulars being submitted henceforth in this form are true to the best of my knowledge and belief. ISC reserves the right to deny participation in any or all event of this Youth Fest 2023-2024, if any of the information is found to be not correct.
